| When in the small town of Ankeny, you gotta try Wig and Pen. We have been there twice, and the restaurant is one of three so named in the lovely state of Iowa. Hence the colors of the title of this page. Iowa is growing food for the world. Maybe not the whole world, but a darn large part of it. If you are from Iowa, you know what colors those are. Apologies to the other implements/teams, but my inlaws gave me a formal John Deere ballcap, and I gotta go with the homies. A formal cap is muted beige, with dark text, FYI. Very classy. John Deere tractors come in two color schemes. Green and yellow, and Yellow and green.
If you like pizza, this is the place.
Humongous pies, deep dish for real, they are close to Chicagoland!, kind of. Thin pies, too. Name your poison, they will put it on. Unless they don't have it. And if they don't have it, you probably wouldn't put it on a pizza anyway. At least not in Iowa. So...
